This virtual keyboard provides complete Geez (Ge'ez) script support for Eritrean and Ethiopian languages. It includes all standard characters plus labialized forms critical for Tigrinya and Tigre, as well as extended characters for scholarly and liturgical texts. Geez is an abugida writing system where each character represents a consonant with a vowel modification.
Languages supported: Tigrinya (ትግርኛ), Tigre (ትግረ), Amharic (አማርኛ), Ge'ez (ግእዝ), and other Ethiopic languages.
How to use:
- In Fidel mode: First click a base character (consonant), then click a vowel form to generate the complete character
- Or click directly on any character to insert it
- Switch between tabs: Fidel (main characters), Extended (supplement characters), Numbers, and Punctuation
- Extended tab includes scholarly Ethiopic Supplement characters for advanced users
- Use the Copy button to copy your text to clipboard
